Professional Visa Independent

For invited employees who have to:

  • Selected by a government department of the Australian state or territory and invited to apply by sending an expression of interest (EOI).
  • Be under the age of 45.
  • Be on the applicable list of qualified careers that are eligible.
  • Having the skills needed for the job (skills assessment will be required, with some exemptions).

For residents of New Zealand who have to:

  • Holds a Limited Category Visa for New Zealand (subclass 444).

Temporary Skill Shortage Visa

When you apply through this route, there is no age limit.

Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) Visa

For a visa of this kind, you must:

  • Have highly specialized expertise, knowledge, or experience to support Australian business and do continuous work (six months or less).
  • Have ample funds to support yourself.

Temporary Work (International Relations) Visa

You must: For this visa:

Provide a supportive letter:

Distinguished Talent Visa

You must: For this form of Australian visa,

  • Be named.
  • Contribute in a way that economically, socially, or culturally benefits the Australian community or increases the scholarly, artistic, or sports standing of Australia internationally.
  • Have the opportunity to develop yourself in the country by either working in your profession or by establishing yourself independently.
  • Be globally recognised in a trade, sport, the arts, or academics and study with a record of achievement.
  • Have functional English at least.
  • Fulfill criteria for health and character.

Australia Work Visa Costs

The work visas referred to above all cost AUD 4,045 (USD 2,955) with the exception of the following:
Temporary Skill Shortage visa AUD 1,265 (USD 925) for short-term flow or AUD 2,645 (USD 1,925) for medium-term flow

Visa for Families

With the exception of the Domestic Worker (Diplomatic or Consular) stream of the Temporary Work (International Relations) visa, all the visas discussed would allow you to carry qualified family members with you by sponsoring or applying for a subsequent entry visa for them.

Australia’s Medical Exam for Visas & Work Permits For Australia

You could be subject to a health check if your visa allows you to meet Australia’s health requirements. Depending on the visa you are applying for, these may include a medical examination, TB screening test, chest x-ray, HIV test, hepatitis B and C test, and syphilis tests.

  • Diploma from an Australian educational institution or trade qualification-10 points.
  • Achieved a certificate or award accepted as suitable for that profession by the required evaluating authority for your nominated professional occupation. 10 points
Specialist Education Qualification

Master’s degree in science or PhD from an Australian educational institution that requires at least two academic years of study in a related field.

Australian Study Requirement

The Australian study criteria must be met; 5 points.

Professional Year in Australia

Completion of the country’s professional year: 5 points.

Community Language Credential

Hold a recognized qualification in a group language with credential-5 points.

In Regional Australia Research

At least one Australian educational institution degree, diploma or trade certificate that fulfills the Australian research requirement obtained while living and studying in a qualifying area of Australia-5 points.

Skills for Partners

The spouse or de facto partner must also be a visa applicant and meet the requirements of age, English, and capacity.

Nomination or Patronage

Invited to apply for a Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa because a family member who has been approved by the Minister has recommended you or supported you for a Skilled Regional (Provisional) visa-10 points.

Australian Self-Employment Visas

For Australia’s self-employment visa or Business Talent (Permanent) visa for applicants, two streams exist:

  • Relevant business history.
  • Entrepreneur Venture Capital.

The first is for experienced business owners in Australia to run a new or existing business. The latter is for those who have acquired venture capital from a member of the Australian Investment Council (AIC) and are searching for a new or existing company to run.

Self Jobs Visa Requirements in Australia

For the Important Stream of Company Background, applicants would need:

  • Net value of at least AUD 1.5 million (approximately USD 1 million)
  • An annual turnover of at least AUD 3 million (more than USD 2.1 million) for at least two of the four fiscal years immediately prior to the invitation to apply.

  • Read the Life in Australia booklet or have been clarified and sign the Australian Values Statement.
  • have at least functional English..

The price of this Australian visa is AUD7,855 (5,750 USD).

How to Apply for an Australian Self-Employment Visa and Where to Find the Application Forms.

Step 1—Submit an EOI
